\n \nAt Faith Action Network\, we believe that budgets are moral docume nts. The choices we make about raising and spendin g public resources reveal whose lives we value\, w hose needs we prioritize\, and whether we are will ing to share responsibility for the well-being of our neighbors.
\n \nI-645 would repeal the Millionaire s Tax package\, a historic new law that will modes tly increase taxes on just the top one percent of Washingtonians - while cutting taxes for the other 99%. Washington already has one of the most upsid e-down tax systems in the nation\, where low-incom e and middle-class families pay a far bigger share of their income in taxes than the wealthiest. I-6 45 would make this worse by increasing costs for w orking families and putting critical tax breaks at risk of repeal\, including those for lower-income families and small businesses.
\n \nTha t's why FAN is joining the effort to fight this re peal and is convening a conversation to educate fa ith communities and speak from a moral voice about why this matters from a faith- and conscience-bas ed perspective.

About our panelists:
\n \nRick Steves is a popular public televis ion host\, a best-selling guidebook author\, and a n outspoken activist who encourages Americans to b roaden their perspectives through travel. He is th e founder and owner of Rick Steves' Europe\, a tra vel business with a small-group tour program that brings more than 30\,000 people to Europe annually . Rick lives and works in his hometown of Edmonds\ , Washington\, where his office window overlooks h is old junior high school.
\n \nOsman represents the 48th L egislative District\, including parts of Bellevue\ , Redmond\, Kirkland\, and all of Clyde Hill\, Med ina\, Yarrow Point\, and Hunts Point. A Redmond na tive and proud son of immigrants—a special educati on teacher and small business owner—he earned a B. S. in neurobiology from the University of Washingt on\, where he served as Student Body President. Be fore being elected\, Osman worked as a researcher at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center and UW Medici ne. He has served his community on the Redmond Cit y Council\, worked for the King County Council\, a nd contributed to non-profit boards like the Trans portation Choices Coalition.
