FAN Housing & Homelessness Working Group Kick Off
Join Faith Action Network advocates across the state to learn more about and participate in FAN’s housing advocacy for 2026.
Join us in the new year for our first Housing & Homelessness Working Group meeting. Together, we will discuss housing bills in the state legislature --including HB 1859, which supports the development of affordable housing on land owned by faith communities -- how they impact our communities, and how we can support them! Recognizing that the affordable housing and homelessness crisis is affecting nearly all of us in Washington and that our faith communities are often on the front lines providing housing, shelter, meals, and essentials to folks experiencing homelessness and low-income folks, we felt the need to dedicate some specific organizing and advocacy to housing and homelessness. Our working group will focus on housing and homelessness legislation and advocacy at the state legislature. This meeting we will be hear from Representative Osman Salahuddin, sponsor for HB 1859, and Rev. Drew Peterson from Spokane.
This is the first meeting of what will continue monthly on the second Tuesday of the month from 6:30 - 7:30 via Zoom.
