Pre-IFAD Housing & Homelessness Policy Briefing
Join Faith Action Network advocates across the state to learn more about and participate in FAN’s housing advocacy for 2026.
Please join us on February 10th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm for our pre-IFAD Briefing on Housing and Homelessness legislation. This year, we are moving the majority of our briefings online in the two weeks in advance of Interfaith Advocacy Day to allow folks to attend more workshops and for those unable to attend to learn more about the bills. For our housing workshop, we will be joined by Po Leapi from the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, who will be sharing information and updates on key housing bills on FAN & WLIHA's agenda. This briefing will cover:
- SB 2266/SB 6069 Legalize permanent supportive housing and shelter
- HB 2489 Shelter, Not Penalties Act
- HB 1859/SB 5885 Expanding opportunities for affordable housing on land owned by faith communities
- Housing budget requests for the housing trust fund and the right to counsel program
Please note we will not have a housing workshop at IFAD on February 12, but instead we will have a panel focused on revenue and the social safety net. This briefing will be your chance to learn about the housing and homelessness bills. The briefing will be recorded and sent to registrants, so please register even if you can't make it. That way, you can listen to the recording on your way to Olympia.
Please join us!
