Lunch and Learn - Advocacy 101 with United Women in Faith

Registration is closed for this event
Online meeting co-sponsored by FAN and United Women in Faith

Please join us for a lunchtime workshop on faith-based advocacy.
The United Women in Faith vision reminds us that:

"We are a powerful, fearless force driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children, and youth, we act for justice and transform communities.

"
One bold way to act for justice is to advocate for just policies with our state and federal governments. This workshop will help you become a more effective faith-led advocate for the transformations our communities need. You will learn about the faith roots of United Methodist Church advocacy and the basics of how to advocate in person and remotely with the Washington State Legislature and the U.S. Congress. You will also learn how to create persuasive messages and practice by writing messages in support of nutrition programs and agricultural sustainability in the Farm Bill currently working its way through Congress.

Join us for an informative and inspirational lunchtime learning session.
