The time is RIGHT NOW - We're calling Congress TODAY to oppose cuts to SNAP and Medicaid
Thank you for everyone who has already signed FAN’s letter “No Cuts to Medicaid and SNAP!” These letters are being sent at a critical time as Congressional committees hold votes this evening, Tuesday May 13th on massive, devastating cuts to SNAP ($230 billion) and Medicaid ($880 billion).
Join us TODAY in amplifying this message as FAN members across the state call their Congressional Representative and urge them to vote NO to changes to these programs that will effectively lead to major cuts in food assistance and healthcare.
These calls are critical if you are in Rep. Newhouse’s district (WA-04). In his district, 38% of adults and 70% of children are covered by Medicaid.
