Document Recording Fee - Senate Floor

Housing is an essential human need, and our communities in WA state continue to lack sufficient affordable housing and the means of keeping people in their housing. HB 1277 would add a surcharge of $100 for each document recorded by the county auditor as a new revenue source for housing stability services and eviction prevention, raising $100M per year.
